If you're not familiar with the sport, it's only a matter of time. A fleet-footed hybrid of tennis, badminton and pingpong, pickleball was created in 1965 by three dads in Seattle, who invented the game out of boredom and named it after one of their dogs, Pickles. Now, pickleballers can transform their courts into nightclubs. A Florida-based company called XGLOsive is the first to offer a traveling service that converts your court into a nightlife experience where EDM soundtracks the gameplay.
XGLOsive will show up to your pickleball court and morph it into a neon pickleball paradise, outfitting it with blacklights, fluorescent visuals and electronic music "to create a fun nightclub atmosphere." Why they haven't teamed up with music festivals yet is a mystery, but we digress.
You can learn more about XGLOsive and inquire about events here.
