Watch Footage From Aphex Twin’s Latest Headline Performance–His Friend’s Wedding
While uncovering and sharing set recordings is common in the Aphex Twin fandom, his latest performance might be his most exclusive yet.
The enigmatic and deeply influential producer recently took over DJing duties at his friend's wedding, according to multiple reports. Whether or not he played "Cha Cha Slide," however, we're unable to confirm.

Aphex Twin is often known for his unconventional, brazen approach to electronic sound design, but beneath his aggressive tracks lies some of the most beautiful, enchanting ambient music to ever hit the airwaves. These intoxicating melodies are, on the surface, perfect for a celebration of eternal love, but that was very much not the case.
In footage shard by a wedding guest on X, Aphex Twin can be seen performing from a modest DJ booth with nothing more than a small projection screen behind him. Instead of family-friendly sounds and a heartwarming montage of the bride and groom, he opted for drum & bass with eye-popping visuals featuring his iconic distorted face, as seen on the album cover of 1996's Richard D. James Album.

In addition to Aphex Twin, a wedding guest also reported that Luke Vibert took the stage alongside an undiclosed DJ from the record label, Future Retro. At the time of writing, no footage of these performances has surfaced.
