Wax Motif and Kura Drop Salsa-Influenced Crossover Single, “Lo Que Soy”
The duo's "Lo Que Soy," a Latin tech house anthem, arrives today by way of Insomniac Records. Kura and Motif embrace their synergistic, bass-heavy flare on the production side while incorporating a punchy vocal track that embraces the spirit of existing as one's best self without contingencies.
The track's smooth grooves are precluded by salsa-inspired melodies and instrumentation, which mark one of the more unique fusions heard in recent memory and a welcome contribution to the increasingly crowded tech house space.
The track has been marinating in scattered live sets over the last six months, but the height of festival season has finally brought it out in full. Perhaps most notably, "Lo Que Soy" received a December rinse from Dom Dolla as well as spins from Afrojack and ACRAZE, among others.
Motif is gearing up to play at Chicago's Lollapalooza, Lost Lands and more. Meanwhile, fans can catch Kura on tour in Europe.
