Whethan’s Career-Launching “XE3” Remix Finally Hits Streaming Services After a Decade on SoundCloud

Back in 2015, while his peers were navigating high school hallways, 15-year-old bedroom producer Whethan was unknowingly crafting a remix that would amass 15 million SoundCloud streams and launch his music career.

His breakthrough remix of Mssingno's "XE3" has now finally received its long-awaited official streaming release, bringing one of SoundCloud's early viral electronic hits to a new generation of listeners.

The future bass track, which has amassed over 15 million streams on SoundCloud since its initial release, helped establish Whethan as a rising force in electronic music when he was just a teenager. Its success led to festival appearances and touring opportunities that would shape the trajectory of his career, which ultimately saw him collaborate with Dua Lipa, Charli xcx, Jeremih, Oliver Tree and many more.

"After 10 years, the remix that changed my life is finally out on all platforms," Whethan said on social media. "From seeing it played out at festivals when I was 15 to touring around the world and sharing the stage with so many amazing artists, I owe everything to this song and all the people who have supported me."
