Calvin Harris joins forces with Eli Brown for fourth Love Regenerator EP, out April 3
While returning to the spotlight in 2020, Calvin Harris introduced a new moniker for the Scottish DJ called Love Regenerator that paid homage to his love for underground house and techno. The three EPs under the pseudonym have consisted of two tracks stocked full of metallic drums, ’90s vocal tags, psychedelic synths, and acid-laced basslines.
For the fourth EP, Harris has tapped promising house up-and-comer Eli Brown to help him on another rave-inspired pairing titled Moving/You Don’t Want Me. Eli Brown has been on a tear since last year, dropping his Solardo-assisted club ripper “XTC” and highly praised remix of Dom Dolla’s “San Frandisco.”
From the teasers on Twitter and Beatport, Harris & Brown treat the two as opposing forces in the house world: “Moving” has an uplifting, soul-inspired character meant for dancefloor primetime, while “You Don’t Want Me” plays its darker, grungier counterpart made for the early hours in warehouse raves.
The fourth EP from Love Regenerator comes out on Friday, April 3 but can be previewed below.
