Avicii's stunning performance of "Addicted To You" took place just a year-and-a-half before his tragic death.

A new video uploaded to Avicii's YouTube channel provides a rare glimpse into the legendary DJ's final performance prior to his death.

Avicii's music carried EDM fans away from reality and into a sublime realm of escapism. His performances were unmatched by his peers, and brimming with unparalleled energy and love. The beloved Swedish dance music pioneer tragically committed suicide on April 20th, 2018 after years of mental health struggles.

In the video below, Avicii can be seen performing "Addicted To You" at Ushuaïa Ibiza on August 28th, 2016. The track appeared on his influential debut album, 2013's True.

Since his tragic death, Avicii's legacy has continued on through a myriad of posthumous projects, inspiring a new generation of electronic music producers and DJs. He was honored with a sculpture in his home country of Sweden. Titled "Standing Waves" and crafted by Adele Essle Zeiss and Liva Isakson Lundin, the sculpture is activated by wind energy.

Last summer, Nicky Romero closed out his Tomorrowland set with his and Avicii's "I Could Be The One," a generational dance anthem. As soon as the track dropped, fans began belting its timeless lyrics in unison.

These moments years after Avicii's passing have reinforced his indelible imprint on EDM as we know it. We'll always be able to dance to "Levels," "Wake Me Up" and his many other hits.
