From Afro-House Beats to Techno Bangers, These are the Top Artists to See at CRSSD 2023

CRSSD's spring 2023 edition takes place this weekend in downtown San Diego.

As Southern California begins to dry out after its rare (and impressive) rainstorms, the city of San Diego is looking forward to once again hosting the area's premier techno and house music festival.

The 2023 season for FNGRS CRSSD will kick off this weekend with the promoter's annual spring iteration of CRSSD Fest. Set to take place on March 4th and 5th at Waterfront Park, the scenic venue will once again be enveloped with thumping beats and groovy melodies.

Although the two-day event is teeming with talent across its diverse roster, there are a few notable artists not to miss at the boutique dance music festival.

Here are the top acts we recommend catching at CRSSD's Spring 2023 edition.

AMÉMÉ

Specializing in forward-thinking Afro-house beats, West African native AMÉMÉ. acknowledges his roots with every production he tackles. The EDM.com Class of 2023 inductee's live performances are electric, with tribal percussion and spiritual vocals layered atop sultry beats. 

Bedouin

Aided by their world travels and Middle Eastern heritage, Bedouin have been elevating the sounds of electronic music since their introduction to the scene. The duo's upcoming debut album, Temple of Dreams, should continue to push the boundaries of the sophisticated productions for which they've become renowned.

Bedouin's live performances only help advance their refined sound, which has been on display from Burning Man to Ibiza to one of the seven wonders of the modern world. 

Deborah De Luca

True to form, Deborah De Luca continues to be a high-energy techno flag-bearer. Whether it's in an intimate, underground setting or on a festival mainstage, De Luca always impresses with her signature broody, thumping techno beats.

Gioli & Assia

These Italian ladies need no introduction. As members of the esteemed EDM.com Class of 2021, Gioli and Assia have more than proven their star power.

Their latest album, Fire, Hell, and Holy Water, has cemented the duo as a top act within the global scope of electronic music. Known for their powerful live performances featuring scenic backdrops, the couple will always create a spectacle, handpan or lack thereof. 

Channel Tres

The hype around Channel Tres has been building for years now, and for good reason. The Southern California native has garnered worldwide acclaim for his live performances, wherein he's usually surrounded by a phalanx of dancers aiming to put on a show.

The prolific singer-songwriter and producer has collaborated with the likes of Honey Dijon, Duke Dumont, Tinashe and Tyler, The Creator, among many other high-profile artists. His latest EP, Real Cultural Shit, is a stellar record full of disco house-inspired bangers.
