Charli XCX and Gesaffelstein Go “B2b” for New Single Off Upcoming Album, “Brat”: Listen

After her recent Boiler Room DJ set, Charli XCX declared that she "came from the clubs." Now, we're getting another taste of her full-blown foray into dance music after she released a new single produced by one of the genre's most influential producers.

Ahead of the release of her sixth studio album Brat, the British pop star, who was recently honored with the ASCAP Global Impact Award, has joined forces with French electronic music icon Gesaffelstein for "B2b."

Starting with an acid-inspired bassline, he lays down a steady beat before Charli XCX jumps in with a characteristically catchy hook that will linger in your head long after it ends. While the production is minimal in nature, you can certainly hear the sounds of Gesaffelstein—fans of whom affectionately call the "dark prince of techno"—blending seamlessly with the infectious pop stylings of Charli.

"B2b" follows "Club classics" and "Von dutch" as the third single off Brat, which is scheduled to release on June 7th. Meanwhile, Gesaffelstein last week released his first album in nearly five years, the stunning GAMMA. He's now set to return to Indio later this month to perform at Coachella 2024.
