Cosmic Gate Advance Their Melodic Sounds In “MOSAIIK Chapter Two” Album
The group's foray into the world of techno will culminates in an accompanying global tour.
A year and a half after revealing to the world their evolving sound, Cosmic Gate have finally delivered the second chapter of their two-part album, MOSAIIK.
The nine-track LP echoes the German duo's original intent of redefining their productions, flirting with a more melodic techno atmosphere. A far cry from their hard trance roots, MOSAIIK Chapter Two cements the group firmly in the slow-burning, introspective lanes of the red-hot genre.
Speaking about the new album, Cosmic Gate's Nic Chagall emphasized the importance of their exploration into the genre.
"...Modifying our sound was something that we not only wanted to do, but also felt compelled to, so as to remain true to ourselves," he said.
That modified sound permeates throughout the entirety of the album. Standout tracks like "Emotions of Colour" (with Gid Sedgwick), "Mirador" and "Retrospection" offer tinctures of trance in an otherwise deep, melodic soundscape.

The "MOSAIIK Chapter Two Tour" kicked off last month at EDC Mexico and has future stops across North America, Australia and Europe.
