Four Tet Announces First Album In 3 Years
The upcoming album is Four Tet's 12th and first since "Parallel," which released back in 2020.
Four Tet, one of the most innovative figures in contemporary electronic music, has revealed a new album in the works.
"I'm working on the new album," the influential DJ, whose real name is Kieran Hebden, tweeted this week.
It'll be Four Tet's 12th studio album and first since Parallel, which featured a number of tracks released under Hebden's alias, ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ. That record dropped in 2020 just a day after his 871 LP, which appeared on streaming platforms under another pseudonym, 00110100 01010100.
The announcement arrives amid a busy stretch for Four Tet, who recently performed alongside Skrillex and Fred again.. at the trio's sold-out Madison Square Garden concert. The group, fans of whom have affectionately dubbed "Pangbourne House Mafia," had performed a string of ballyhooed pop-up shows in the U.K. prior to their eye-popping rave in the Big Apple.
Hebden has not yet revealed any details about the new album, including a title or release date. Check out his announcement below.
