Hot on the heels of "u want me," "Charmer" showcases Godlands' forward-thinking sound design prowess. The new track finds her fusing invigorating trap elements with cinematic breaks and a barrage of frenetic drum & bass rhythms for a cathartic release.

The record marks the second glimpse into her upcoming EP, due out on Monstercat in June. Listen to "Charmer" below and find the track on streaming platforms here.

Composed during a tender time, "Charmer” is a testament not only to Godlands’ ability to transcend emotional turmoil, but also to evolve creatively.

"’Charmer’ was made as a trauma response," Godlands explained in a press statement shared with EDM.com. "I had just finished celebrating my birthday in Bali with a group of friends and my mum. We were just about to get on the airplane home before my mum collapsed in the airport."

"I took her straight to hospital and it turned out she had a parasite and COVID," she continued. "My mum and I had to spend a week longer in Bali while she recovered. This song was made while she was recovering, and I believe I made this just to express my feelings. It was an extremely stressful and emotionally-charged week seeing my mum go through such immense pain and seeing her so sick."
