Jean-Michel Jarre Taps Nina Kraviz for Atmospheric Collab, “Sex in the Machine Take 2”

Sometimes the most unlikely of pairings results in some of the best music. Case in point is "Sex In The Machine Take 2," a new collaboration from the brilliant minds of Jean-Michel Jarre and Nina Kraviz.

The track is a rework of "Sex in the Machine," which appears on Jarre's OXYMORE album. It takes Kraviz's brooding techno sound to a new level, slowing the tempo to create an ethereal, atmospheric feel. Punchy percussion, warbling synths and haunting vocals lead the charge as the duo's unpredictability coils and captivates.

"Beyond her style as one of the most influential DJ's today, Nina has a unique way of using her voice which adds a dark poetic colour to her tracks," Jarre said in a statement. "She brings her haunted futuristic signature to ‘Sex in the Machine Take 2,’ which works so beautifully."
