John Summit Drops Stunning Remix of deadmau5 and Kaskade’s Dance Classic, “I Remember”

John Summit continues to ride high on the success of "Where You Are" but his remix game is proving equally memorable.

The red-hot producer is lending his talents to the 2008 dance classic "I Remember," and it's a remix he's been teasing out in recent live sets. Official remixes of deadmau5 and Kaskade's timeless collaboration have been few and far between since its release, but Summit has laid the groundwork to deliver on an ambitious undertaking.

"Such an honor to remix this record," Summit said in a press release. "It was truly the track that made me fall in love with dance music and kick off this whole journey for me, so to remix it 15 years later is a huge full-circle moment."

Summit's remix starts with the warm embrace of lush, textured synths before kickstarting the groove with gyrating basslines and bubbly, arpeggiated melodies. His take brings a fresh dose of danceability to the iconic track while maintaining all of its nostalgia.

Kaskade and deadmau5 bet on Summit at a critical juncture and entrusted him with an official remix of "Escape" early last year. By year's end, Kaskade and Summit were even ringing in 2023 together with a momentous back-to-back DJ set. With a chain of high-flying originals under his belt since then, the Off The Grid boss is now proving his hit-making ability is a repeatable process.
