Knock2 Delivers the “Goodies” for Dillon Francis’ Remix EP
Following his recent "ROOM202" EP, Knock2 continues on a meteoric trajectory with a dazzling new remix for Dillon Francis.
We're relieved Knock2's remix of "Goodies" isn't staying in the jar.
The EDM.com Class of 2023 star has been an ascendant force in the world of house music, and he's put a new spin on Dillon Francis' "Goodies," a 2022 cut which samples Ciara's 2004 hit of the same name.
Knock2's recent ROOM202 EP was a statement-making affair and a testament to the producer's creative potential. With his latest remix, Knock2 reinforces the notion that he's a disruptive force who can go toe-to-toe with mainstage legends.
The new remix is an unrelenting surge of saccharine synths in three parts. Knock2's regimen of party-starting arpeggios pairs seamlessly with the original vocals as he deploys dazzling melodic textures and churning kicks. Wave after wave, the virtuosic producer storms the gates with intricate combinations of high-energy ad-libs, nasty oneshots and squelching bass in a coordinated web that can't be fully dissected, nor appreciated, after just one listen.
Knock2's remix arrives as part of a broader reimagining of Francis' This Mixtape Is Fire TOO, which also includes a recent remix of "Don't Let Me Let Go" by Zomboy. Take a listen below.
