Louis The Child and What So Not Announce Special “Alter-Ego” B2B Set
Louis The Child and What So Not are joining forces to perform a dream DJ set for the former's upcoming "Alter-Ego" takeover at the Brooklyn Mirage.
Turning a concrete jungle into a mesmerizing audio playground is just par for the course for Louis The Child, who have always demonstrated a hunger for the unexpected. Since debuting the concept last year, "Alter-Ego" has proven a runaway hit.
"We like the idea of giving artists a platform to do something different because we recognize it in ourselves and so many of our artist friends," Louis The Child told EDM.com at the inaugural "Alter-Ego" event at Avant Gardner. "People aren’t single-minded and enjoy playing and listening to different styles of music."
Louis The Child's multi-stage takeover of the Mirage is now poised for a momentous return on August 19th, when they'll headline alongside What So Not. The Australian electronic music virtuoso joined them on tour in 2021 before teaming up for the production of "On Air," a track that ultimately appeared on his scintillating sophomore album, Anomaly.
The 2023 return of "Alter-Ego" will feature additional performances from JOYRYDE, Snakehips, Pauline Herr and The Knocks, among others. Louis The Child, who said they're working with What So Not on new edits and remixes to play live, will also perform a set as their Black Marble alias. Tickets are on sale now.
