Louis The Child Announce New Album, Drop Lead Single With Whethan, “Make You Mine”

Louis The Child are once again ready to bring the warmth of endless summer days to dancefloors with their newly announced album, The Sun Comes Up.

Dropping on September 20th via Interscope, their highly anticipated sophomore album promises to encapsulate the carefree yet poignant sound that has long-defined the duo for the better part of a decade. The announcement comes hand-in-hand with the release of its lead single, "Make You Mine."

The track effortlessly intertwines infectious house rhythms with the complex feelings of longing and devotion. Aided by longtime collaborator Whethan and infused with the enchanting vocals of Hayley May, "Make You Mine" is a celebration of emotional connection through music. The superstar duo's reunion with Whethan follows their previous collaborative bout, "Hurts" alongside Wafia way back in 2019.

"Make You Mine" unfurls with spirited vocals that echo sentiments of desire—feelings that are amplified by the track’s prominently punchy bassline. The production excels through its simplicity, with pitched-down vocal chops and a syncopated rhythm that gives the song its driving force. The result is a love anthem that's both introspective and irresistibly danceable.

Louis The Child and Whethan first crossed paths in the vibrant Chicago music scene nearly a decade ago and since that time, they've shared a creative synergy that continues to evolve.

"We've known Whethan for almost 10 years now and came up around the same time in Chicago," Louis The Child said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "We shared a studio back then and moved to L.A. around the same time to continue our pursuit of music... He's someone we look at as a brother, and getting to release another song with him is really special."
