RL Grime Reveals Release Date of Rumored Third Album, “APEX”

RL Grime news? Is it Halloween already?

After five long years, the influential trap producer is set to return for his rumored third studio album, APEX. Starting off the week on a high note, Grime shared an announcement video revealing what many believe is the follow-up to 2018's scintillating sophomore album, Nova.

Cryptically promising a "new audio experience," the video shows the project's title and release date, September 15th, with some futuristic sounds to set the mood.

Details about the hotly anticipated project are currently scarce aside from its title and release date. While the teaser video is aesthetically pleasing, it does not offer any conclusive information about what's to come on the music front from Grime later this year.

In its wake, Grime took to social media to share another cryptic teaser for a related project called GRID, which has the same release date as APEX. Both are marketed as "A New Audio Experience Brought To You By RL Grime."

It's worth noting that the cover art of "Breach," Grime's recently released collaboration with Juelz, features imagery similar to the announcement videos. However, we're unable to confirm whether or not the track will appear on either APEX or GRID at the time of writing. The same goes for "Pour Your Heart Out," a soaring collaboration with 070 Shake that released in June.
