Sherm and MANSHN Define Nightlife In the Windy City With “No Tomorrow In Chicago”
There’s a new ode to the home of house music and Sherm is the messenger.
The "Sherm In the Booth" podcast host is among the best spokesmen on the current state of house music in Chicago, and his new single “No Tomorrow In Chicago” perfectly encapsulates the excitement behind this present moment in the movement.
A collaboration with fellow rising producer MANSHN, the pumping tech house track waxes poetic about the thrills of the come-up in the Windy City. As the eminent Summertime Chi season hits full swing, we’re expecting this heater to dominate the dancefloors of the Midwest and beyond.
"This is an ode to my city and my grandma who recently passed—she made Frank Sinatra a staple in my childhood and I'm so glad Gigi did," Sherm said. "This song means a lot to me because he sings about what makes Chicago so special. I put my heavy minimal spin on this all-time classic and I'm very happy with how it turned out."
This isn't the first time Sherm's astute observations about dance music and entertainment in the Chicago nightlife scene have been crystallized in song format. The artist's tongue-in-cheek humor about his hometown has played well to audiences previously, including on 2022's "Chicago Handshake," which for those curious, is the harrowing combination of a shot of Jeppson's Malört with an Old Style lager.
Sherm's "No Tomorrow In Chicago" arrives by way of Hood Politics Records. Check out the new track below.
