Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Z-Trip, and Big Boi to Perform at Detroit Grand Prix
Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Z-Trip, and Big Boi from OutKast have been announced as performers at the upcoming Detroit Grand Prix.
The Detroit Grand Prix will take place from June 2nd-4th, 2023 with free concerts and a massive street party planned in downtown Detroit. The entertainment stage will be located in the same area as Movement Music Festival, which is happening just one week earlier.
“As we have said since we announced the return of the Grand Prix to its original home on the Streets of Downtown Detroit, this is going to be an event – not just a race,” said Michael Montri, President of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix in an interview with Forbes. "With a great music lineup providing the soundtrack all weekend long in Hart Plaza, our fans are going to experience an entertainment-filled weekend that they will never forget here in the Motor City.”
Motorsports and EDM collide again at the end of the month with the Indy 500 Snake Pit, featuring performances from Kaskade, Subtronics, John Summit, and more. Last year, the event drew the likes of deadmau5, Galantis, Yellow Claw, and beyond. Racing events continue to tap EDM artists, perhaps to harness some of the high-energy hype surrounding rave culture as seen in Miami last weekend.
