Above & Beyond to Perform at Egypt’s Great Pyramids of Giza
A special night of trance music is going down at the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila have announced a momentous homecoming show at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Seeing as the "venue" is a remarkable historical landmark that people travel from all over the world to see, they've decided to bring out their superstar friends, Above & Beyond, to co-headline the pie-in-the-sky concert.
The special "Future Sound of Egypt" gathering at the Great Pyramids will feature additional performances by Ahmed Romel, Philippe El Sisi, Omar Sherif, Paul Thomas and special sets from Aly & Fila's individual side projects, Aly Fathalla and Das Pharaoah. It also marks Above & Beyond's debut performance in Egypt.
Surprisingly, this is not the only heavyweight electronic show to take over the legendary UNESCO World Heritage Site this year. Carl Cox took fans on a techno trip to the Pyramids in the spring and Kygo is now bringing his Palm Tree Music Festival there next month.
