Get Your Daily Slice of Funky Trip-Hop With Daily Bread’s Stunning Album, “Invisible Cinema”
"Invisible Cinema" masterfully showcases the surging producer's production skills through ingenious hip-hop sampling and glitchy electronica.
Daily Bread has finally released his long-awaited album, Invisible Cinema.
Having risen as a grassroots star by opening up for Pretty Lights at Red Rocks back in 2017, Daily Bread is now surging to the forefront of the electronic music landscape. Out now via Philos Records, Invisible Cinema, his eighth full-length studio album, is a 13-track collection that masterfully showcases his tried-and-true production skillset.
Centered around the two recurring themes of "cinema" and the "moon," the album is a stunning representation of the Atlanta-based producer's unique visual aesthetic and narrative. His penchant for experimentation is heard throughout as he toasts up a sonic palette of funk, electro-soul and vintage trip-hop, producing soulful melodies, gritty hip-hop sampling and glitchy bass.
Invisible Cinema illustrates a vivid picture of Daily Bread's signature style. After kicking the album off with its old-school hip-hop opener, "Blindfold Yourself" (with Late Night Radio) kicks things off, he spans the lunar phases of the moon through warping bass in the standout "Back To The Moon." Another highlight comes toward the end, with the cathartic, funky grooves and fluttering arpeggios of "Look Up At The Stars."
Daily Bread will now head out on his first headlining tour next week to bring his Invisible Cinema live experience to fans. Tapping Greg "Lazershark" Ellis for the tour's lighting design, the producer will appear on dozens of stages through May, concluding with a celebratory show at Austin’s The Concourse Project with labelmates Late Night Radio, Michal Menert and Artifakts, among others.
