Skrillex and Boys Noize Reunite for Spellbinding House Banger, “Fine Day Anthem”
When two of the most innovative minds in electronic music clash, you stop what you're doing and listen.
Case in point is "Fine Day Anthem," a hotly anticipated collaboration from the tenured duo of Skrillex and Boys Noize. Released moments ago, the haunting four-on-the-floor banger samples "It's a Fine Day," a dance classic released by Opus III back in 1992.
The production is spellbinding, with eerie, gated vocals slicing and slithering through a hyperactive house drop. It's no wonder Skrillex says the track has been a staple in his DJ sets for the past year.
It's important to note that "Fine Day Anthem" is not attributed to Dog Blood, Boys Noize and Skrillex's popular side project. It's been a decade since the advent of the collaborative alias, whose last release, the ferocious Turn Off The Lights EP, dropped in 2019.
There seems to be no stopping Skrillex, who is in the midst of the most prolific year of his storied career. He kicked off 2023 by releasing two new albums in as many days before teasing two more. Fans can now expect "a string of singles" in the weeks ahead, Skrillex revealed in late May.
